To get running hot water from a broken old school waterboiler it needs fuel and a spark. Therefore, you have to light a match and press the button for gas. Then with the fire from the match, you ignite a single flame within the boiler. You hold the button for gas a few more seconds, but don’t let it go too early, because then you will lose it. When you’ve held it for the exact amount of time needed for the blue flame to burn on its own, you let go. Now all you need to do to get boiling hot water is to turn the button with the red dot and the little black box framing the single flame, will turn into an infinite army of blue flames.
I love this colour.
When a match is lit for a broken old school boiler,
The friction created by the two parts rubbing off of each other,
Create the spark to enable a new element to come into existence.
The moment when the red fire of the match touches the invisible fuel,
It transformes into a blue unity of optimized efficiency.
It’s like when you have a conversation with the right person and it just fuels you,
As you surround yourself in eachothers invisible energy,
One that you don’t see, but a new friction you feel.
An instant attraction sparks a desire strong enough,
To suppress your fears of showing what is now lit up.
Coolness that is seen,
Warmth that is felt.
Peace by association,
Energy that has a burning desire for more.
The intense feeling of the creation of a new element,
The formation of a new transformative unity.
Taking the shape of my all time favorite colour,
A single blue flame.
